CDR Technician
In class training conducted in Polish,
supported with e-learning platform.
You may take it as a
one-day mode or integrated with the CDR Analyst course – 5 days.
Training details:
- Crash Data Retrieval System
- Level: Technician/User
- Training hours: 5 hours+ 2 hours (practical exercises)
- Training mode: In-class, using e-learning platform
- Training recommended for beginners. Necessary qualifications: basic knowledge of automotive technology, basic computer skills, minimum basic knowledge of English – BOSCH software only in English
Certificate
- After successfully passing on-line quiz and performing two data readouts, you will be awarded CDR User certificate.

CDR Analyst
4-day training for people who will analyze data using the Bosch CDR system in their work.
You must successfully complete the CDR Technician training.
Training details:
- Crash Data Retrieval System
- Level: CDR Analyst
- Training hours: 32 hours- 4 days
- Training mode: In class, using e-learning platform
- Recommended for apprises, court experts, police, reconstructionists
- Necessary qualifications: CDR Technician certificate, knowledge of automotive technology, computer skills, minimum basic English
Certificate
- After successfully parsing an on-line tests, you will be awarded CDR Analyst certificate.
Course scope:
- Introduction
- Functions of the control modules: ECU, ESP, SRS
- Network architecture, CAN protocol, message distribution
- Airbag module function and operation
- Pre-crash capturing Deployment vs. Non-deployment
- Multiple Deployment and Non-deployment events
- Calculation of Delta-V values
- Data reading, communication, protocol, translation NHTSA 49 CFR Part 563, SAE-J1698, Proposed European Regulations
- Data Restrictions – General
- Data limitations – in detail
- Problems during data extraction from dismantled modules
- Data validation, comparison with physical damage
- Tire size, wheel slip, brake slip, hydraulic coupling
- Momentum, energy
- Practical examples

Skills acquired
- The ability to interpret accident, pre-crash data read from the vehicle and link them with other data collected at the scene.
- Ability to identify critical and key information from CDR reports.
- Possibility to assess the credibility and accuracy of the read information.
- The ability to describe the EDR system and the results of the analysis before the court during litigation
Organizational information
The training will be conducted in Polish by a certified
CDR trainer and CDR expert at Crash Data Poland. Y
